Bequia Airport & Transportation information

Large cruise ships or jets are not able to land at/on Bequia. Transportation options are on small scheduled or charter aircraft, local ferries, and private or chartered yachts. Most air travelers arrive through one of our neighboring gateway islands where they can catch a regional carrier to J.F. Mitchell Airport, Bequia

Most visitors from outside the Caribbean region, including from the USA, approach Bequia via direct international flights into BARBADOS.

International arrivals into Barbados are in the early afternoon, which (assuming no outbound delays) allows convenient onward connections to Bequia

Arriving passengers traveling to Bequia through St. Vincent should plan their arrivals before 5 PM M-F to connect with the last ferry at 6 PM. Last ferry service on Saturday, Sundays and holidays leaves for Bequia at 7 PM.

Air charters or shared charters fly direct to Bequia, from Barbados on Air Mustique, SVG Air, and Grenadine Air Alliance. Plan your arrival in time to take the last flight @ 4:30 PM. The plane cannot be delayed as there are no landing lights in Bequia. SVGAir is now offering flights to St. Vincent and Bequia from St. Lucia check with them for connection times.

Bequia Ferries

Bequia Express and Admiralty Transport run ferries from Kingstown to Port Elizabeth, Bequia. The anticipation of arrival by sea is not to be missed! The fare is $20 EC one-way $35 EC return (with same company). Distance is approximately nine miles and travel time is about 1 hour, you pay on board. There is a ferry terminal in Kingstown with A/C and snack bar. Mandatory charge is $5 EC. Allow 15-20 minutes.
